Five Year Plan
Year 1, 2024 to 2025 - Raising Awareness and Developing Relationships
We will stage exhibition matches, tournaments and multi-sport camps all over the UK to raise awareness of Police Disability Sport with the aim of attracting sponsors and create funding streams which will support individual competitors and police forces whilst setting up development teams in the core sports.
Year 2, 2025 to 2026 - Establishing Teams in Development Leagues
Set up Police UK Disability Sports Teams to enter development leagues, this is to get officers and staff engaged in a number of sports.
This year will focus on promoting the core sports of PUKDS with the intention of creating a pathway for players and coaching staff to represent PUKDS teams. We will also look to develop a talent pathway for Team GB Para Sports for those that are identified in having the ability to compete at a higher level of competition.
Focus will now move toward the creation of the Home Nations Police Force teams in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
Year 3, 2026 to 2027 - Introducing PUKDS Home Nations Teams
Enter PUKDS teams in the national leagues at the foundation level based on geographical location to regional leagues.

We will continue to stage exhibition matches and tournaments with the intention to use these events to attract sponsors and fund-raise.
Year 4, 2027 to 2028 - Establishing Regional Police Leagues and a National Team
With established PUKDS teams playing in the national leagues, we will start to engage with regional police forces to set up regional police force teams to form a breakaway league under the management of the national leagues. A PUKDS team will also continue in the national league where players will be selected from the regional police Force teams to represent at the national level for PUKDS.
We will now look to host Police Forces from other nations to compete against PUKDS teams in multiple sports.
We will continue to stage exhibition matches and tournaments with the intention to use these events to attract sponsors and fund-raise.
