National Fundraising
It is important when raising funds for any cause that there is complete transparency, it is for this reason that PUKDS will publish the amounts raised through the various forms of income we receive through funding, donations and grants.
PUKDS is currently self-funded and does not receive any government funding to support the physical and mental health well-being, treatment or recovery to police officers and staff, past or present in the UK. Therefor, we rely on your generosity to fund all of our sports, events and equipment, because without you we simply would not be able to provide adaptive sports to the police community.
The funds raised go towards sports equipment, venue hire, advertising and marketing for events and a wide range of other support mechanisms that directly benefit our members.
All PUKDS staff and sports coaches are voluntary, each of them donating their time and experience to support our members, even when it comes at a personal cost to themselves as we are not yet in a position to pay expenses.
Total raised so far £46,154.44
This funding has provided support to over 75 members through a number of sporting events, matches and tournaments as well as purchasing sports equipment for each of the core sports in preparation for the UK's first ever Police Adaptive Sports Multi-Sport Event in August where the entire police community will have the opportunity to come along and try out all of the sports on offer. All completely FREE.
