What does your sponsorship provide to PUKDS?

Financial Benefits:

Funding for equipment: Sponsorship helps us to afford specialised and often costly adaptive sports equipment, such as custom wheelchairs, prosthetics and supports, and modified sports gear.

Reduced Athlete Costs:  Financial support can help offset or eliminate expenses for athletes, including travel, accommodation, and competition fees. This makes the sport more accessible and affordable, particularly for individuals with financial constraints.

Venue and Facility Access:  Sponsorship funds can cover expensive venue hire and enable us to access or maintain suitable, accessible training facilities for adaptive sports.

Coaching and Training:  Funds can be used to invest in professional coaching and development of programmes, which are crucial and often rely on volunteers. This ensures athletes receive the specialised training needed to progress in a safe environment.

Event Staff and Officiating:  Staff and in particular sports officials are vital to the safe running of events, and funding can provide us with the ability to hire those with the qualifications necessary to officiate the sports.

Operational and Community Benefits:

Sustainability and Stability:  Consistent sponsorship provides a stable financial base that reduces reliance on grants and fundraising, allowing us to focus on long-term planning and athlete development rather than short-term survival.

Increased Visibility and Awareness:  As part of the sponsorship agreement, we gain marketing support through the sponsor's social media channels and their wider network. This boosts our profile, attracts new partnerships, and educates the public about adaptive sports.

Enhanced Community Relations:  Partnering with a reputable business can elevate our standing in the community. It can lead to collaborations, volunteer recruitment, and a stronger network of local supporters.

Access to Expertise: Sponsors can offer non-monetary support, such as professional services or mentorship. For instance, a tech company might provide analytic tools, or a marketing company could help with outreach.

Networking Opportunities:  Sponsorship can open doors to valuable business networks, providing us with connections to other potential partners, suppliers, or funding sources.

Increased Credibility:  A credible sponsorship deal can enhance our reputation, lending a level of prestige that attracts more participants, volunteers, and media attention.
