HOME NATIONS CUP
The Home Nations Cup is an Annual competition which is contested between the
Police UK Disability Sport National Teams.
This event will take place over the course of a week between June and September
and will be contested across all of the PUKDS Core Sports.
Each sport will follow a set format for determining the winning Nation.
Athletics:
Athletes will compete in Track and Field events in each classification with medal standing from each event.
Points will be awarded for medal finishes;
Gold = 3 Points
Silver = 2 Points
Bronze = 1 Point
The Nation with the highest number of points will be the winners of the Athletics competition.
Badminton and Table Tennis:
Competitors will compete in singles and doubles matches in a tournament format for each classification.
Points will be awarded for medal finishes;
Gold = 3 Points
Silver = 2 Points
Bronze = 1 Points
The Nation with the highest number of points will be the winners of the Badminton or Table Tennis competitions.
Team Sports:
Sitting Volleyball - Wheelchair Basketball - Wheelchair Rugby
Teams will compete in pool matches where they will play each team twice.
Points will be awarded for matches as follows;
Win = 3 Points
Draw = 1 Point
The Nation with the highest number of points at the end of each competition will be awarded first place and the Gold medal.
Second and third placed teams will be awarded Silver and Bronze medals respectively.
Points will be awarded for medals as follows;
Gold = 3 Points
Silver = 2 Points
Bronze = 1 Point
A shield will be awarded to the winning Nation in each sport.
The Nation that has the highest number of points from all competitions
will win the Home Nations Cup.
